Presented by veteran New York performers The Lady Aye (award-winning sideshow performer) and Mistress B (circus, burlesque, and cabaret performer), “Unmasked: Larger-Than-Life Characters & the Regular Joes Who Inhabit Them” combines variety arts with storytelling to give audiences a rare and unique glimpse at the people behind the performers. This month, The Lady Aye and Mistress B welcome Jo Boobs (Head Mistress and Founder of New York School of Burlesque) and Chocolatina Q. Dessert (drag performer, author, and pastry chef). Program made possible, in part, by support from Bindlestiff Family Variety Arts, Inc. and the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs as part of the First of May Award.
