We were born to make you laugh. From our humble beginnings in 1983 at the Saint-Denis Theatre in Montreal to laughing our way to become the largest global player in the humour industry, we’ve made funny our business. Each year we make millions of people laugh with festivals at home, in Montreal and abroad. We’re home to some serious talent. We’ve hosted comedy’s greatest and watched up-and-comers skyrocket right before our laugh-so-hard-we’re crying eyes. We’ve staged our own comedy, musical and touring shows. We’ve broadcasted digital and television content. We know how to throw a party. And we’re not even close to leaving the spotlight.

Butterboy

Every Monday at 8pm, three chuckle monsters descend on Littlefield in Brooklyn, clutching with them a horde of the freshest, silver-tongued comics and phone sex operators this city has to offer. Legends in their own right, these three friends, Aparna Nancherla, Maeve Higgins and Jo Firestone combine forces to host the funniest and best show in Gowanus! Accompanied by the musical stylings of DJ Donwill and the sensual silence of a rotating Idris Elba impersonator, you won’t want to miss it. Plus, find out which parts of this blurb are bold, unapologetic lies! Butterboy is produced by Marianne Ways.

Loft Comedy

Hosted by Marie Faustin (Comedy Central Stand-Up, Broad City, MTV’s Girl Code), Loft Comedy will feature performances by the city’s most celebrated stand-up comedians and offer a glimpse into the scene’s most innovative, up-and-coming performers. Your ticket includes entrance to the museum.

Loft is produced by Marianne Ways (hailed as “one of the most important gatekeepers in Brooklyn’s fertile stand-up scene” by The New York Times) and Carly Hoogendyk (Formerly the Comedy Booker at Caveat, praised by Comedy Cake for being “a leader in thoughtful, eclectic comedy programming”).
